I am so excited to have been nominated for a Sunshine Award from the amazing Lindsey over at whimsical allure and I can't wait to get on and do this post. It's always lovely to hear that people actually like to read your blog, so thank you Lindsey!

11 Facts about me: 

1. I like to study and learn new things, and am actually a little bit of a geek.

2. It has always been my ambition to run a marathon. 

3. I love to paint. 

4. I'm a little bit addicted to salt and vinegar crisps.

5. I have an obsession with candles and my house in full of them. 

6. I moved from London to live in a tiny little village in Yorkshire. 

7. I love my family more than anything in the world. 

8. I've always wanted a Pug, and if I got one I'd call him Wilson. 

9. I have Vogue on subscription, have every issue stacked up from the last 6 years, and even have a copy of the June 1991 edition (the year and month I was born). 

10. I have my own special mug to have my coffee in every morning. 

11. I seem to get ill or injured a lot, and I mean a lot. Good job my sister pretty much runs York Hospital!

1. What is your favorite book?

     The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde 

2. What’s the one beauty item you cannot do without

     I'd have to say mascara. Even if I don't bother too much with makeup, I don't feel comfortable without mascara on. 

3. Tea or Coffee?
Coffee.. I can't function without my coffee in a morning!

4. What is your favorite season?
Probably Spring. I love seeing all the colour and pretty patterns come out after winter.

5. If you could tell your 18 year old self something, what would it be? 
Relax and enjoy being 18, don't worry about the future cause it sorts itself out :) 

6.What is your dream vacation destination? 
I'd love to go to America and travel round, or go to Italy. I have Hawaii in mind for my honeymoon.

7. What is your favorite online shop? 

Ahhhh this is a hard one! I love ASOS, they seem to have everything, but ill have to go with feelunique.com

8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Honestly, I'm pretty happy where I am! 

9. It's Christmas time, do you prefer eggnog or hot cocoa? 

Hot cocoa all the way.. with marshmallows <3 

10. What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? 
I did pretty well at school and while I was there had some philosophy articles published in journals, I am very proud of that, but honestly, I'm bad with money, so saving enough for my own place with my other half is something I'm really proud of too. 

11. What is your guilty pleasure?  

Probably drinking more wine than I should while listening to cheesey music :P shh.... don't tell!

11 Facts About Me:

1. I'm slightly addicted to home study courses. Got national diplomas in Journalism, Vintage Fashion Studies, IT, Makeup Artistry and am now on my Beauty Therapy Lvl 3. GEEK! :P

2. I would love to be a full time writer, although failing that, I plan to study to become a social worker.

3. I'm the baby of the family. I'm 22, and my sisters are 38 and 41. It's often like having 3 mums.

4. I've been with my fiance for almost 2 years now, although we actually got engaged after just 2 months!!

5. I have a weird habit for naming things... the plant near my window is called Spike (I'm rather odd!).

6. My favorite thing to eat in the whole world is blueberries.

7. I lived in London for most of my life, but moved up to Yorkshire last year to be near the rest of my family. It's cold up here.

8. I want to learn to play a musical instrument. My other half used to be in a band and I'm always jealous when he plays the keyboard.

9. When I was 19, I had a couple of philosophy articles published in a national journal.

10. I've only ever been abroad once in my life and that was to Paris. I need to go travelling asap!

11. My makeup hoarding is getting out of control, and I find lipsticks in the most random places round my house (e.g next to my pillow, the knife and fork drawer, and inside bowls in the cupboard... how do they get there???).

1. When did you start your blog? 

4th September this year... it's still very new :) 

2. If your life were a television show what would the theme song be? 

Ooohh that's a hard one... I have no idea!! My life is too random for any song :P 

3. Do you have a hidden talent?

I'm pretty good at painting and sketching. I don't do it as much as I used to though. 

4. What is your favorite animal?

Probably ducks. Random, but if I get really stressed, I like to go feed the ducks. 

5. What is the last book you read?

I like reading classics (it stuck after Alevel English Lit). The last book I read was The Picture Of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It's my favorite book and I read it every year. 

6. What is the one thing you can't leave home without?

My phone. I feel completely lost without it.

7. Where would you like to travel to?

I've always wanted to travel round America. Rent a car and go coast to coast. That and Italy. 

8. What is your favorite food?

Blueberries <3 

9. Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate?

Coffee!! I feel sorry for anyone who speaks to me in a morning before I've had a cup of coffee! 

10. What is your candle scent of the moment?

I'm loving all the Christmasy ones out at the min. Got a Blackberry Frost one which is AMAZING!! 

11. What is your favorite color?

I'd have to say purple :)

20 Questions...

Hello :) I know this is my second post today, but I promise this one will be a lot less word heavy! 

I got an email from one of my friends this afternoon, saying that she had checked out my blog, and she thinks I need to put a bit more about myself on here, so she gave me a list of questions etc that she wants me to type up and answer. She's thinking about starting a blog herself, and she promises that she will answer the same questions back when it gets up and running! 

So here goes I guess.... 

1. What is the one thing in life that makes you truly happy?

This is a hard one. My other half makes me happy (as boringly soppy as that is) but other than that, all I can think of is family. I'm very lucky and my family make me feel completely relaxed and happy, no matter what dramas are going on in my life. 

2. What beauty product could you simply not live without? 

Clinique make up remover. I wear makeup every day and it's the only thing that gives my skin any chance really! 

3. What is the most important item in your make up bag? 

My mascara. There are some days where I don't bother too much with foundation, but don't feel right without mascara on. 

4. What did you always want to be when you were a child?

I wanted to be an English teacher. 

5. What did you enjoy studying at school (if anything) ? 

I loved English lit and Philosophy. That's what I studied at university before I started studying beauty therapy and fashion journalism. Always loved art as well but didn't like being told what to draw. 

6. Lipstick or Lip gloss?

Depends on my mood. Having a HUGE lipstick love right now though. 

7. Bronzer or Blusher 

Bronzer. No matter what shade I try, blusher makes me look like a clown. 

8. What is your favorite piece of jewelry? 

My engagement ring :) and the ring my nan left me when she died. It's beautiful.

9. Heels or Flats?

I prefer wearing heels. I think heels can make an outfit. 

10. Dresses or Skirts?

Dresses. I think I only own about 3 or 4 skirts, but I live in dresses. 

11. What is your favorite book? 

The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde 

12. Where would you most like to go on holiday?

Always wanted to go to Rome. Or New York (although that would be financially dangerous for me).

13. What is your guilty pleasure? 

Eating too much rocky road cheese cake while listening to bad 80's music!! 

14. Got any hobbies? 

You mean other than blogging? I like to paint :)

15. Who is your favorite singer/band?

That is an impossible question!!! It depends on my mood, and there are so many new bands coming out all the time. But my one true favorite has to be the Rolling Stones. 

16. What is your favorite colour? 

Purple.

17. What is your best memory? 

I can't pick just one! Both of my big sisters wedding days! 

18. Who are you closest to in the world? 

I'm closer to my other half than I am to pretty much anyone. Only my two sisters and my best friend Hayley that could match it! 

19. Bold colours or Sultry darks? 

Give me bold and bright all year round.

20. Describe yourself in one word......

Indecisive ;)
