W7 Prime Magic Camera Ready Primer

Hello everyone :)

I don't know about you, but since the weather has been bright and sunny, I've actually managed to feel more productive! Whether this lasts or not we'll have to see. Today, I have a little review on a budget primer from W7. For me, a primer is the most important part of my make up routine, so I normally tend to stick to more high end ones. However in the name of research (and to try and save a bit of money) I thought I'd try a lower priced version, and that's when I stumbled on this one for only £3.80 on ebay.....

They come in 3 different versions depending on your skin type, and I chose to opt for the green toned one to combat redness. The product is easy to apply, works to reduce redness in my cheeks, and leaves my skin feeling a lot smoother. I have happily been using this under both my Illamasqua and Rimmel foundations for a few weeks now, and it does work well as a primer.

However, for someone with a primer addiction like me, it doesn't measure up to my favorite from MAC. I have enjoyed using this, and I will still keep using it as a day-to-day primer until it runs out, leaving my MAC one for best, but I don't think Ill be purchasing it again.

To be honest, I think this would be more suited to someone who is just starting to get into using a primer. It is well priced, easy to use, and does the job well, and would make an excellent starting point. I was happy I gave it a try.

Have any of you tried this, and what are your favorite primers?

Love to you all x

  1. I have often wondered how good this is, as it's such an obvious dupe in its style to the Smashbox primer. I think I'll give it a miss, and try the Smashbox one instead xx

    1. That's the reason I tried it. It would be good for a beginner but I'm very fussy when it comes to a primer. I might try the smashbox one next xx
